Writing - We are trying to describe using our senses.

It looks black.
It looks red.
It looks orange.
It looks yellow.
It feels super hot.
It feels like a tree.
It smells poisonous.
It sounds crackling.

A camp fire smells like fire. It burns.
It feels cold if you don't have a fire.
It looks dark with no firelight.
It sounds like some people are talking.
It's not that loud to me.
It tastes cold.
- by Terepai.

It looks like lots of people running.
People are getting wet.
Lots of people ar running into cars.
It smells like fresh water.
It sounds lik someone stomping in a puddle.
It feels like a dripping tap.
It tastes like water.

Things that have a life cycle

Have a look at our art that we created this week using different types of cardboard.

Maths - fractions

We have been learned about fractions this term. We have cut shapes into halves, quarters, thirds etc. We have been learning to order fractions and write fraction symbols properly. Now we are learning how to find fractions of sets.

Term 4 Inquiry

Our Inquiry topic for Term 4 is the Circle of Life. In our class we have started growing some snow pea seeds. We have talked about the different stages a plant goes through as it changes from a seed into a plant. Hopefully we will now see a real life example.
