Discovery time on Fridays

At discovery time we do a lot of different activities. They are usually related to the sound of the week in room 1 and room 4. Last week we made some popcorn necklaces.

P.E. - Rakau Sticks

In room two this week we have been learning some movements with Rakau Sticks. We have been learning to move in time with the music and a partner. We have been doing our movements to the song E Papa Waiari. If we have done enough practice we might perform at assembly on Friday!

Gecko Art

This week for Art we made some scratch paintings using crayon, black paint and paperclips. We had to try to make our crayon look really bold and bright. We had to wait overnight for our paint to dry before we did the scratching. Then we scratched our geckos!
